SLOAN CONSTRUCTION
Hello,
I'm John Sloan, owner of the custom home building company, Sloan
Construction. I would like to offer my services as a on-site general
contractor orchestrating the
construction of your custom home. I consider myself a craftsman and
therefore pay great attention to the details that turn a good plan into a
great home. Sloan Construction is
dedicated to 100% customer satisfaction so you can be assured of the best
service long
after you home is completed. Sloan Construction, working together with the
homeowner and the architect, will make building your project a fun, exciting
and an overall positive experience.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. After graduating with a math
and physics degree from Eastern Illinois University, I moved to Crested
Butte in 1991. After a brief time as a math and science teacher, I began my
career in the building trades. I have worked in Crested Butte as a roofer,
drywaller, framer and finish carpenter. Over the years, I have built
relationships with many subcontractors and therefore I started Sloan
Construction to help facilitate people's dreams of having a home or a
business in the
Gunnison valley.
In 1998, Sloan Construction built Red Mountain Liquors in Crested Butte
South. My wife Molly and I currently own and operate this growing business
with our two young daughters, Murphy and Flannery, and our young son, Duke.
We have the experience to build both commercial and residential, but I
prefer to build custom luxury homes, like the home at #8 Summit Road in Mt
Crested Butte.
This home is a showcase for all the particulars that make Sloan
Construction the
premier custom home builder in this valley. The timber trusses and custom
accents throughout the home are an example of my craftsmanship and my
attention to detail. As an on site contractor, I take pride in knowing that
my clients best interests are being served and the home they are dreaming
of, is the home I am building. I am an honest, trustworthy contractor who
maintains open communication with the homeowner throughout the building
process and beyond. Most past clients turn into great friends.
